Premier Dance Center's Jazz, Contemporary, and Hiphop companies are teams that travel around the Southern United States competing at national talent and dance competitions. To become a company member, you must audition in the summer. Company students will begin learning their dances in August and begin competing in January. Between the months of January and May, we will attend 2 to 4 regional competitions. In the summer, the company members will dance in the annual recital at the end of the dance year and attend a National Finals competition in June or July. In the past few years for Finals, we have been to Dallas, Panama City Beach, San Antonio, Pigeon Forge, Branson, and Disney World. Team members and parents must be committed to traveling to compete in these competitions. These trips make great family vacations!

Along with becoming a company member, you also have the opportunity to compete with a Solo dance or Duet/Trio dance. Solo and Duet/Trios are completely optional and do cost more than groups. Dancers must obtain a high score at tryouts to receive a solo or duet/trio.

If you are interested in having your child audition for our competition jazz or hiphop teams next year, they must attend our audition workshops. To audition, your child must have at least 1 year of dance experience.
